The True North

This story is another recycled adventure that bears repeating.  It is a brief rundown of when former President Donald Trump assumed office in 2017.  Once again, this essay is just as germane to today as it was years ago.

  Well before the presidential elections, I began learning another foreign language. Yes, I actually know several, including Polish, German, a bit of Italian, and a smattering of English.

I needed these different tongues to get me through my jaunts around the world. My latest endeavor was Spanish, inasmuch as my neighbor, who is a native Peruvian, is a terrific guy with a great family.

To better communicate with them, I decided to make an effort to demonstrate inclusion. For the Christmas holiday, I learned to wish him “Fleece Navidad. Unfortunately, that has more to do with sheep than Baby Jesus. I stand corrected, though.

So, because our new president is threatening to build a wall to keep out illegal aliens, I realized we would have very few new Spanish-speakers breaking into America. To stay ahead of the curve, I thought it would be prudent to ready myself for a new influx from the north rather than the south.

Canada is often referred to as “America Lite,” and “America’s Hat,” terms that are not necessarily offensive, but not really flattering, either.

Fact: Florida triples in population during the months of November through April, mostly because of the invasion of Canadians. Canada actually closes during those winter months forcing our northern neighbors to seek residence elsewhere; the last Winnebago driver turns the lights off.

Florida is much warmer and has better health care than Canada, hence the flood of bodies.

Just as with countries to the south of the United States, countries to the north utilize a different language than we Americans do. With the exception of Louisiana and New Jersey, most of America speaks American English.

Of course, some speak the language better than others but, for the most part, a word is a word, is a word. Unless it is Canada. You see, they use English and French which is akin to setting your hair on fire.

Let’s examine this international phenomenon I like to call “annoying.”

The country of Canada consists of 3.86 million square miles, or 375 trillion square kilometers. Because it’s a foreign country, they feel it necessary to distinguish themselves from the United States by using an archaic system of measurements. Of course, the only nation to put a man on the Moon was the country not using the metric system. I’m just saying…

In any case, Canadians drive on lines, a northern name for small roads; and they don’t use napkins, they use serviettes.

Back bacon is term for thinly-sliced ham, which you would buy with a loonie. A loonie is not only someone native to California, but a hard currency in Canada, too.

And if a Canadian were to stay home from the job, they would book off work. Perhaps they’re home because they had a two-four last night, which is reference to a 24-pack of beer. I’m guessing it would be Labatt’s.

If someone accused you of mucking down something, you’d stand accused of shoveling food into your mouth.

Plus, while conversing with ANY Canadian, you need to work the words hockey, snow, and “eh,” into every sentence.

There you have it. You are now ready to accept visitors form the Great White North into the lower 48 with open arms without spending a lot of time trying to figure out what a “S'il vous plait” is.

Unreal World Expectations

  
It was 1959 when Dinah Washington recorded a tune, “What a Difference a Day Makes,” one of about 340 re-recordings since its original recording in 1934; that initial version was in Spanish and under a different name. But that’s another story for another day.

This song is, of course, regarding a woman singing her heart out over a fellow – or another woman – extolling his ability to bring flowers and blues skies and rainbows to her mundane life. As an aside, if you’re a particular Supreme Court Justice, you’re likely still unsure as to the sex.

Today, however, I’m stopping after the first stanza where this song can move in many directions. This story isn’t concerning the song at all, rather its title is the key.

For generations, Americans have been playing by a set of rules governing voting and, subsequently, elections. It is well known that if a person is arrested and convicted for a felony their privilege to own a firearm, drive a car on public roads, and vote, is curtailed.

The reason for this seizing of freedoms is not a hard stretch to fathom. If the felon continues to be able to vote, they have the potential to elect and re-elect their felon and miscreant buddies. Once in office, those buddies are difficult to remove. All the while, they have the abilities to change, introduce, and modify current legislation to suit their own sordid lifestyles of crime.

Witness some major American cities today. New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Portland, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Baltimore, and Milwaukee, are just a few that appear to have crossed the Rubicon between law and order.

“How so?” you ask. It seems as though the above-mentioned municipalities have been socially re-engineered by people who have little in the way of law and order in mind, and more about making America more beholding to convicted criminals.

For decades we have heard the drum beat of equality; that has now been modified to read “equity” which is quite different from “equality.”

Equality is the ability for everyone to achieve the same goals as everyone else through a good education, hard work, initiative, and civility. Equity, on the other hand, is achieving the same results as the balance of Americans simply by using race, sex, or minority status as a barometer of value.

An earnest effort has been underway for years to move this equity-push into society in order to modify the norms through racial discrimination; in other words, moving the finish line. And it’s working.

With help from private organizations using legislation and twisted logic, laws are being modified nearly weekly to accommodate the perpetually-biased Democratic Party to help get more and more black criminals out of prisons and back onto the voter’s rolls.

It’s amazing how easily the words, ‘He/she served their time and now their voting/gun/driving privileges should be reinstated,’ roll off a liberal’s tongue. End of discussion.

Those using the above words like to add that it is largely the black population suffering from this form of “racial” and “systemic racism” so that they may be further disenfranchised. That’s a lie.

A deeper dive into this simple-minded approach is to look at who is being subjected to this so-called discrimination.

Beginning with facts that are even difficult to muster, the number blacks living in America is between 12.1 and 14.2% of the population, depending on whose reporting is utilized. For this story I’ll use the 14.2% number, for the sake of argument.

Americans have been indoctrinated into believing that at least half – 50% - of the population is comprised of blacks. As is evidenced above, roughly ¼ of that number is more accurate. Still, television ads are peppered with at least one black actor in nearly every commercial and TV show.

If that were the case, every sports team – to include NBA, NFL, and MLB, team would have a ‘balanced’ team roster reflecting equality. But as noted previously, it’s not about equality. Equity being king, jumping places in the fairness line of life is paramount. Too bad anyone in post-slavery America still believes it’s okay to discriminate. Just sayin’.

Still, the crux of this story is about forgiving people for their indiscretions in their lives. Just because the law-breakers-in-question are in prison because of firearm, narcotics, sex abuse, child abuse, even manslaughter and murder charges, we, as a society, are expected to put our faith and hope and trust into these criminals, once again.

That’s a tall order, since all those aforementioned crimes are serious against actual immediate victims, as well as the balance of society, the results of which are that others were hurt or killed. Not insignificant consequences at the hand of another.

Forgiving people is supposed to be biblical in nature but must include atonement for proven and tried indiscretions. Without further bloating guvment – either local, state, or federal – I believe a review committee or board should be in-charge of overseeing restitution of societal privileges.

There’s been much in the way of fairness, as well as perceived interwoven racial discrimination, being bandied about over justice.

Yet here we stand watching and listening to self-righteous Democrats scream the words “fairness,” “rule of law,” and “democracy.” Unfortunately, it’s clear they don’t know what those words mean.

While they carp and argue and file countless lawsuits over an election that was said to be stolen, an election that was rightfully settled by the Electoral College, and foreign guvment interference as yet another issue, former President Donald J. Trump is being subjected to one baseless lawsuit after another.

But it’s not because he was convicted for crimes. It’s because he is feared by Democrats and their sleazy supporters who so dearly need to maintain control over our disjointed guvment run by imbeciles and child thinkers.

Zero wars were started under Trump, four wars were thus far started under Biden.

We’ve gone from flowers and rainbows under President Trump’s administration, to a hurricane of ineptness under a Biden administration.

What a difference a day makes.

Border Shmorder

   As of late, handwringing has apparently become the new pastime in Democratic circles. Once proud Democratic politicians and supporters, alike, have been wringing their hands so much their fingerprints have disappeared.

Most of this exercise is largely due to Democrat President Joseph Robinette Biden living long enough to actually run for re-election in the coming months. The other reason for this excessive display of distress is that the mainstream media (MSM) has finally admitted America is flush with crime.

We need to go all the way back to the Barack Hussein Obama administration for when most of this crime began to percolate.

Obama, a god-like figure who represented the freeing of people-of-color from their slave chains, rose to meteoric heights in a very short time. Once inside the Oval Office, the most powerful sanctum in the world, Obama addressed the immigration issue to better serve the Democrats over that of American citizens.

He so desperately wanted more people to vote for his Democrat buddies; the means to that end was more people. Unfortunately, even after enthusiastic voting registration campaigns, it was realized more is better. Suddenly, in concert with non-government organizations (NGOs), the magic, happened.

The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) became policy in 2012 that allows some individuals with unlawful presence in the United States after being brought to the country as children to receive a renewable two-year period of deferred action from deportation, according to Wikipedia, and can become eligible for even more benefits.

However, the big kick-in-the-pants here is that to meet the criteria for the deferred action from deportation, as well as obtaining a work permit in the United States, illegal aliens cannot have felonies or serious misdemeanors.

As such, a path to this influx was needed in a way only a lawyer could muster. Suddenly, lone children were being dumped over the mediocre border “wall” which amounted to two-strands of barbed wire in some places. That qualified for the DACA program.

But what was Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) expected to do with hundreds of small children?

The obvious answer was: build cages in which to place those children until their parents could find relief for entry. This seemed both legal and humane – end of story.

Until Donald J. Trump was elected as 45^th president, that is. As if by magic, bartender clown Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), Democrat Congressional Representative, learned America had a Southern border. This land shared with Mexico demanded her anointed presence, post haste.

She quickly gathered a gaggle of compliant MSM members to visit Texas’ ICE facilities, and she did not disappoint. While photographers snapped seemingly countless pictures of pathetic-looking youngsters, that aforementioned flock of eager sycophants wrote story upon story until the ink had disappeared. Someone needed to be blamed for this debacle.

Headlines across print, and electronic media showed a teary-eyed AOC sobbing over the mistreatment of these brown people – children – being held behind bars like criminals. Oh, the travesty.

Gleefully making the rounds for more air time, AOC pointed her crooked little minority finger at the likely culprit, President Trump. With instant calls for impeachment and incarceration for mistreating these victims of societal racism, she was gaining steam toward fracturing an already broken nation, even more. After all it’s for “the children.”

This dog and pony show continued until word got out that these brown-people cages were designed and built by her buddy Obama. And just a quickly as her exposé on this inhumane treatment began, it vanished. But the damage was done, and without as much as an “OOPS.”

With the inauguration of Biden in 2021, Executive Orders were signed willy-nilly to reverse any and all Trump programs. One program that was critical to this criminal invasion of America was the DACA program. Of course it was Obama’s brainchild that created DACA, but that didn’t matter.

As if riding the interstate highways with Stevie Wonder at the wheel, Biden blindly drove this once-great nation to the precipice of oblivion by ceding rights and monies to admitted lawbreakers all in the name of mo’ votes.

Issuing perpetual freebies amounting to tens-of-thousands of dollars to anyone crossing the once-sovereign borders of America, the Biden administration claimed the border was secure, and that this invasion was good for our future.

This pandering is driving our national debt into the stratosphere. For those phonies claiming this intentional corruption of our nation is for the children, they need merely look at our tax obligation to erasing our debt. With estimated costs of $100,000 per man, woman, and child, this debt will clearly never be repaid. But that’s another story for another time.

Time is Nigh

 We’re rapidly closing in on the 2024 elections in America, and things are getting very, very interesting.

This election is different from the 2020 presidential one, in that the field on the Republican side of the aisle has dwindled significantly, and quickly.

With money tight in this alleged blessed era of Bidenomics, donors, as well as sponsors, are cutting back dramatically on cash for both the presidential and representative positions. As such, candidates find themselves poorer than in years past, now forced to be frugal when stumping and running seemingly countless ads.

Republicans have self-adjusted their field from a robust twelve to a mediocre two, in a mere 6-months. Donald J. Trump leads the Right, followed by a distant Nikki Haley; see the South Carolina primaries for details.

Democrats are fielding the incumbent retread Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., but speculation is swirling that someone else might be in the wings, circling like vultures eyeing dying roadkill Biden so closely resembles.

Sure, the influential Dems – à la Nancy Pelosi, Gavin Newsom, Chuck Schumer, along with The Squad, have been promoting – no, insisting – Biden is the man to be re-elected so that he “Can finish the job.” Uncertain what “job” he’s referring to, one can only surmise it’s destroying this country.

Still, cherry picked polls have been divided as to who is ahead when and where are announced daily with Trump ahead by a few votes, Haley ahead by some, Biden in the lead by a couple, even some naming “none of the above” taking the lead, in at least one primary. What is one to think?

Asking stupid telephone survey questions such as: “For whom would you vote for president today?” these polls are contorted to achieve predesignated results for mainstream media fodder.

For the record, the elections aren’t being held today since we don’t, as yet, have fixed candidates.

It seems the Democrats AND the Republicans are colluding to trip up former President Trump with lawsuits to keep him off ballots, financially send him into bankruptcy, even prohibit him from moving out of corrupt New York City. Sounds awfully illegal, but I’m not a lawyer.

All these acts of clear disobedience are targeted toward Mr. Trump by Leftists who detest his politics and grand success exhibited when he served as president from 2017 to 2021.

Unless you spent the last four-years in a coma, you know America has become terribly divided by accusations, incarcerations, lawsuits, impeachments, lies, smears and attempts at public humiliation, all in the name of “unity.”

When Donald Trump lost the 2020 election to Biden, the process of electing someone who rarely left his home was questioned. Biden traveled across part of the country via bus, being met by only a smattering of eager soon-to-be-voters at nearly each stop. He had twelve people meet him a Midwest school, not the ruckus crowd of tens-of-thousands usually greeting Trump for his speeches.

Still, week after week the press has pushed a claim that a Biden victory was imminent. And correct they were.

Trump lost his run, but not without controversy. Video of what seemed like questionable ballots being wheelbarrowed into polling places after hours, voting machines suspected to be compromised were examined, and vote recounts were denied by a variety of locations, all leading to the supposition the election required further investigating.

But these democracy potholes only generated more speculation about shenanigans reminiscent of Biden’s former boss, Barack Hussein Obama. Rising from virtually nowhere, Obama handily won his presidential election over John McCain, a weak Republican candidate – creating a thorough embarrassment for the GOP.

From nearly day one, America was curious as to who this largely unknown Obama guy was, only to be met with evasive answers and riddles, snarky grins, and accusations of racism, by the Obama administration.

Questions were raised about the legality of his United States citizenship; people simply wanted to see his birth certificate to settle any and all concerns he met legal criteria for holding the office of President. All those questions were summarily dismissed and were subject to ridicule, further dividing a newly-fractured nation.

With Biden riding as Vice President to Obama, they razzle-dazzled Americans with glee instituting one sweeping legal action after another, through Executive Orders, thereby avoiding legislative actions going through Congress. Pretty slick.

This slick trick, though, was not wasted on Biden. Knowing full-well he needed to avoid linking his Democrat-led Congress and Senate to unpopular legislation, Biden, on his first day in office as president, signed one Executive Order after another until the ink ran out. Most of those Executive Orders were dictums reversing positive changes Trump instituted.

Opening the Southern Border, freezing oil drilling, stopping importation of natural gas, and opening diplomatic avenues to Iran and China, all worked to place America and Americans in tenuous positions of national security. Although poo-pooed by Biden and his administration, those concerns are now steadily growing.

With help from sycophants like Governor Newsom, Senator Schumer, and Congressman Pelosi, those Executive Orders have become legislation affecting the United States in the very near future, much to the detriment of the longevity of our free society.

Outlawing vehicles using fossil fuels, gas stoves, incandescent light bulbs, and outlawing gasoline-powered yard equipment, are already laws that will further cripple our way of life, only to appease environmentalists using flawed science to generate panic based on lies and misinformation.

To keep their talons inside the Oval Office, Biden and the press are cheerleading the persecution of Trump in favor of re-electing Biden. But those aforementioned polls are troubling for the Leftist crowd.

Relying heavily on women and minority voters for their rise to power, Democrats typically pander to these specialty voting blocs with enticing freebies. Three daily meals for school children, releasing minorities for drug crimes, encouraging out-of-wedlock children for receipt of more welfare and insurance coverage, are just a few of the “gimmes” that accelerate their path into elected positions.

Being re-elected is the icing on the cake to ensure continued goodies going to the masses. After all, these recipients are mostly non-tax payers, with too little income to be required to file returns. For them, the money road is one-way, in.

But the money supply is both drying up and tight. We are $34,000,000,000,000 in debt and going deeper and deeper daily. That “available” money is only coming in the form of bad checks. To help this awkward situation, Biden thought it necessary to finance a proxy war in Ukraine with Russia.

“The Joe Biden administration and the U.S. Congress have directed about $75 billion in assistance to Ukraine, which includes humanitarian, financial, and military support, according to the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, a German research institute. (This figure does not include all war-related U.S. spending, such as aid to allies.) according to the Council on Foreign Relations.

That’s a lot of money, considering we now have none for ourselves.

Since we find our Southern Border wide open, and illegal immigrants invading our once-sovereign nation to the tune of 11,000,000 untraceable, unidentifiable foreigners, they need many things to exist without jobs. Housing, food, clothing, communications, transportation, entertainment, medical services, and so on, that are now competing for traditional government gifting.

Still, the newcomers weasel their way to the front of the gimme gimme line, effectively pushing traditional black recipients out of the line. Unfortunately, it was the black and minority communities that have been traditional supporters of the Dems, in general, Biden, in specific. But why?

It should be remembered that these noble acts of kindness are coming from a life-long politician who, himself has been an overt racist while serving as a Senator from Delaware. To ignore this fact would be to rewrite history.

This staunch bigot, in 1977, actually said,”Integrating black students would turn schools in ‘a jungle...a racial jungle’” Yep.

Not the Great Uniter Joe Biden touted as presidential candidate Biden. Once again, why would blacks support such a proven racist?

I’m guessing it’s because of the free stuff that allowed – encouraged – blacks to stay home rather than find meaningful employment, keeping people on a perpetual treadmill of reliance on others for their existence. Doing this ensures they will always remain below the poverty level – in sort of servitude position, a modern form of soft slavery. (Ask Kobe Bryant about slave labor making his sneakers.)

With these local, state, and federal elections arriving soon, it would benefit everyone to do your homework for your future. If you bet more of the same, you have no one to blame but yourself.

Let Me Tell You Something

  Well, well, well. It seems as though the proverbial cat is out of the bag.

On February 8, 2024, the United States Department of Justice released the report concerned with the unauthorized removal of classified documents from the assigned sanctity of The White House.

Guvment documents, by way of background, come several varieties; unclassified, classified, foreign government, and open source. Each has its own special place in the record keeping and communication process. As you probably guessed, the classified ones are the really special ones.

They are “special” because they contain information considered sensitive enough to “classify,” thereby limiting access to who can both touch and read that information in the document itself. The criteria to limit access to these classified documents is highly regulated within the varying government agencies from when the information originated.

Often, but not limited to protecting sources of data, military plans, informants, locations, times, and even weather, can and is classified according to a set of pre-established guidelines in order to keep the entire government apprised as to legalities and safekeeping of this important details contained therein.

Although that’s a lot to digest, the guvment and its stable of stellar lawyers select and contort and remanufacture the classification criteria each time a new president’s administration takes office. Detailing the legalese in a non-lawyer format is a handy, as well as a concise, way to avoid problems when and why information is, in fact, classified. And it’s a big deal.

As of late, you may have noticed then-Vice President Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., served under the Barack Hussein Obama administration, as a foreign-relations expert helping Obama guide America through the Afghanistan War, besides other foreign debacles, throughout his time in office.

Biden, during his stint as VP, made trips to varying countries in an attempt to exercise his steady hand keeping the United States safe from attacks – both militarily and economically – through personally derived, unconventional methods of détente.

Biden’s unique style of diplomacy was brought to question when, as VP, he took a trip to Ukraine. There, VP Biden met with high-ranking government officials to, according to his own admission on videotape, extort a Ukrainian government prosecutor who was assigned to look into Biden’s son, Hunter, from an illegal shakedown on Hunter’s part.

Receiving more than $11,000,000 from the Ukraine's Burisma between 2013 and 2018, Hunter, according to NBC News, and a handful of friends thought it was a good idea to squeeze Ukrainians into making mob-style payments. Please keep in mind that this is separate and distinct from a similar shakedown of Chinese officials by the Biden Organized Crime Family.

One can only speculate these actions were trial runs to see how much money the “Biden” family name was worth from an influence standpoint. Clearly lots of money.

VP Biden was aghast that Hunter was under investigation in corrupt Ukraine and felt compelled to flex his muscles against Ukrainian hosts, in front of recording video cameras. Bragging about how he threatened to have the prosecutor summarily removed from this case, VP Biden got his wish, thereby exonerating Hunter following the dismissal of the prosecutor-in-question.

Hiding behind his “Biden” name, he coursed his way through a gauntlet of hapless Republicans to emerge unscathed personally and politically. It seems as though the fix was in.

He has been missing in action since his run for the presidency in 2020, but seemingly able to find precious time for vacations every week. Never mind the residents of Palestine, Ohio, whose town was devastated by Mayor Pete Buttigieg’s transportation system, in 2023.

The Biden Administration War Room

His shenanigans have been bubbling to the top of the Biden cesspool since his inauguration, along with a large portion of his cabinet to include Lloyd Austin, Pete Buttigieg, Kamala Harris, Jennifer Granholm, and Alejandro Mayorkas, all of whom are every bit as smarmy as their boss, the Commander-in-Chief.

But this covert behavior has shed light on the fact that Biden’s mental faculties are not only suffering, but likely toast. In recent days, a report from his own Department of Justice surfaced, regarding Biden’s hoarding those earlier mentioned classified documents.

A prosecutor, Robert Kyoung Hur, a special counsel looking into Biden’s classified document scandal, just released his report concerning the findings and his recommendations.

Hur mentioned that Biden was too feeble-minded, although he meant well, when talking about his removing and subsequently keeping highly classified documents in his Delaware garage. Diminished faculties and his inability to keep track of weekdays made Hur’s report seem as though it was written by former President Trump, himself.

Taking to the airwaves in an effort to do damage control, Biden spewed unintelligible mumbling like a goose with diarrhea. Wearing a vacant expression, Biden raised his voice to the gaggle of reporters present when questioned about his mental acuity.

Chastising the reporters as though they were small children, Biden further attempted to prove the keenness of his brain by explaining his late son Beau’s cancer death along with Beau’s rosary. The rosary is worn as a personal memorial of the tragic demise of Beau.

Continuing, Biden, with raise voice, said, “Let me tell you something...I swear, since the he died, every single day...I wear the rosary he got from Our Lady…” seemingly unable to recall the details of where the rosary was from.

But rather than admit his mental shortcomings, Biden administration personnel quickly rallied the troops to his defense, saying he was the brightest, smartest, most alert, yada, yada, yada…

Unfortunately, the whole world witnessed this display of a mind-numbed leader of a once-great nation. On the brink of a Middle East war, a war with China over Taiwan, a conflict with saber rattling North Korea, and our continuing funding of another endless money pit called Ukraine, Biden hardly seems like a man who is willing or able to stop us from a national train wreck.

Declining in health – mentally or physically – is not a sin; changes due to age are facts of life. But to outright lie to its citizenry about the ability to effectively live in peace and safety, in lieu of allowing another political party to take the reins, is criminal.

It’s clear the Biden administration has been actively engaged in lying to Americans and our foreign allies since Day One, with no plan to stop doing so in the future. As such, he is also lying to himself.

Recycled Redux

  In the vein of being a responsible American, I am taking this opportunity to recycle.  Yes, this week's story is recycled from January 2022, and applies to the shenanigans just as well today as it did two-years ago.

  America is currently traversing some very rough waters.  Over the past year we discovered we were being led by a newly-elected president who wound up being a half-wit.

 

During the 2020 Presidential campaign we heard the media twist and massage the Left’s nefarious rants about then-President Donald Trump.  Movie stars, actors, musicians, other politicians, and the average moron climbed aboard the Hate Trump train vilifying the first man in decades to return America to a proud nation.

 

Under Mr. Trump’s term, our nation began heading in a direction not seen for four different administrations – a direction in which our national future appeared to be bright and promising.

 

Even following the racist Obama eight-years, President Trump overcame the bubbling racism spouted by both Barack and his equally anti-White wife, Michelle.  The division between the races could be felt like a curtain of unrest hanging over the United States.

 

With Blacks carrying a deep-seated animosity and a perceived sleight because of their color, professional race pimps seized the opportunity to create havoc out of thin air for the sake of “awareness.”

 

Suddenly everyone seemingly everywhere needed to make people aware of their respective colors, races, sexes, and likes or dislikes.   If someone wanted to be a woman rather than a man, they could with little more than the snap of their fingers, and so on.

 

No matter the issue du jour, it had to be the result of Donald Trump.  Amen.  If you were born Black, it was Trump’s fault; if you were born White, it was Trump’s fault; if you were failing algebra, it was Trump’s fault; if you were wealthy, you and Trump stole that money from the poor and Blacks.

 

And so it went for four-years of President Trump’s term.  Figure in the utterly false accusations of Russia interference, desire for environmental catastrophes, depletion of natural resources, and international detente failures, kept the daily news chock full o’ fake news.

 

In an effort to assist, social media was delighted to oblige the mainstream media in silencing any and all dissent.  That concerted effort was semi-effective toward swaying opinions of the weak minded among us.

 

Not to be left out, our Latino brethren got into the fray by implying long-standing immigration laws were racist, thereby creating a new victim class – just in case we ran out.

 

And then, when the jig was up about the lies regarding Russian collusion, the world was introduced to something called COVID-19.

 

COVID-19 was a newly-discovered flu virus that spread throughout the world.  Likely beginning in a Wuhan, China laboratory, COVID-19 was quickly dubbed a pandemic.

 

The media was at it again, policing every word that was said, printed, or even implied, by President Trump and his administration.  It was easy to do because no one knew anything about COVID-19.  Except Joe Biden’s puppeteers, that is.

 

President Trump’s inherited COVID crisis was met head-on with a brilliant attack plan called Operation Warp Speed.  This effort was coordinated with several pharmaceutical companies to quickly bring about a viable vaccine to save as many lives as possible, as rapidly as possible.

 

This synchronized plan created several practical vaccines.  Unfortunately, Presidential-candidate Joe Biden and his VP-pick Kamala Harris just as quickly publicly denounced the vaccine as dangerous which precluded them from personally taking the shot.

 

That very public display of arrogance and insolence sat deeply with voters who, until this day, refuse to take the stab because Biden and Harris refused to get one. 

 

Leading up to the 2020 elections, Joe Biden bad-mouthed President Trump as a liar, incompetent, racist, divisive, and dangerous for America.  It didn’t matter that President Trump’s stellar economy and international outreach resulted in unbelievable stability across the planet, but also unimaginable wealth generated by common-sense tax cuts.

 

Clearly Americans were tired of their newfound prosperity and allegedly elected Biden, who is said to have received more votes than any other person in the history of American elections.

 

Biden’s rare campaign appearances were limited to vilifying President Trump along with his “mishandling” of the COVID crisis.  These weak campaign showings were apparently enough to drive the populace to opt for a man with limited communication skills and waning mental acuity.  Alas.

 

Literally seconds into his term, Biden proudly signed Executive Order after Executive Order nullifying President Trump’s much-applauded accomplishments.  Oil pipelines, border protections, economic bonanzas, and the like were declared forbidden with the stroke of Biden’s pen.  All these pen strokes were damaging to our national security and economic stability, but what the heck – it erased the last vestiges of Donald Trump.

 

People cheered that “the adults were back in office.”  They were wrong.

 

What America got was the ol’ bait and switch tactic used by smarmy merchants far and wide.  The voters were shown a seasoned politician who could remind them of their long-fondly remembered uncle – kind, soft-spoken, and full of knowledge from the school of hard knocks.

 

What they got was a senile old coot with the inability to read a teleprompter, think on his feet, or even tell the truth.

 

But it’s not the voters I blame for this dumpster fire ruining our once-proud country.

Each night, President Joe Biden likely climbs into bed with his wife, Dr. Jill Biden.  She’s not really a “doctor” because she cannot write a prescription for even medical marijuana.  Still she wants to be called “Dr. Jill.”  Uh, huh.

 

If Dr. Jill is so smart she should be able to recognize the severe deficiencies – both mental and physical – suffered by her husband.  Remember President Biden falling up the stairs of Air Force One?

 

In any event, it is clearly Dr. Jill that has a duty to forego her lofty, desirable position of First Lady to change her historical title to Whistle Blower and expose this dangerous façade her husband is foisting upon a once great and revered nation.

 

One dishonest person inside the White House is enough.

Sports for Everybody

 Trivia for you: Superbowl I was played on January 15, 1967; the Green Bay Packers won that inaugural contest. Fooled you; actually, there was no Superbowl I – they weren’t numbered until 1971.

The Superbowl is rich with sports history and is one of the most recognized sporting event each year.

Since I don’t have the time or ambition to go into all the details, I’ll simply proceed with the gist of today’s brilliant story.

Inasmuch as I am much older than the Superbowl itself, I feel I can speak with authority on this matter.

My late Father was an avid sports fan who yearned to be a sports writer and reporter. Unfortunately, due to World War II, he wound up working in a factory having to skip college in order to serve his country. But I digress.

Each day he would take the delivered morning newspaper to work to pour over the Sports Section to maintain his familiarization of the athletes and events, alike.

Although our home city was not tiny, it was not large, either. Most of our sports were received via radio or television. Television, for your information, was limited to three and a half channels: ABC, NBC, CBS, and the half was PBS. And because radio was portable, we were able to take the events with us while doing yard and house work.

But sports ruled when my Dad was involved. End of discussion.

Although we enjoyed baseball and basketball, football was our passion. My Dad played football in high school for a limited time until he was injured during a game that permanently sidelined him. Still, he enjoyed the game.

One day Dad was more irate than others after reading the Sports Section; he ranted about the crooked politicians who were doing nothing except moving our tax dollars from upstate to the larger city downstate. And he was correct.

The governor thought it was in everyone’s best interest for the entire state’s population to pay more in taxes to build a new sport stadium for the professional football team. Yea!

Too bad it was much too far away to drive to attend a game. None the less, our tax increase was for frivolous stuff that benefited those not needing benefits.

Eventually I moved away and into a larger metropolitan area where there were professional sports teams representing the baseball, hockey, soccer, basketball, and football worlds. Thinking they were sophisticated enough to support five different venues, the local politicians were gleeful to demand more and more money for the continued support of these activities.

Every few years those same elected, re-elected and re-re-elected and re-re-re-elected perpetual pols demanded more and more tax dollars. And there was little recourse anyone could take to stop this extortion, except leave the area. I left the area.

All the while the problem continued. Those non-sophisticated sophisticates were desperately trying to make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear, without success.

Hint: You can throw suitcases full of hundreds at a problem but that won’t necessarily solve that problem.

All the money in the world will not make athletes faster, taller, skinnier, or smarter. It will only make them and the team owners richer, albeit on my back.

Until this day, local and state politicians are begging – no, demanding – more in tax dollars for the attraction or retention of professional sports teams to certain areas.

For the record, there’s a lot in the way of logistics and money that goes into sporting venues. Purchasing land, building the arena, new roads, parking facilities, landscaping, mass transit (subway) and bus routing, light rail service detours, hiring, insurance, utilities, printing, media accommodation’s, hotels, inspections, and, of course, the usual graft and public corruption that goes into making “things happen.” Wink, wink.

Always sold as a city pride thing, supporting sports teams often teeters on the ridge between entertainment and an annoyance. Repeated news broadcasts as well as newspaper spreads touting “the team” as the be-all-end-all not to be missed, and something in which to celebrate, can easily be overdone.

Keep in mind that my taxes were increased to pay for all the stuff two-paragraphs ago, plus exorbitant salaries, to help the municipality with their latest brainstorm. After years of regular cost-overruns, and “unforeseen” price increases, this boondoggle is now considered farcical, but way past the Rubicon.

So, more money is needed to salvage this new pig-in-a-poke. Only a few more tax dollars are required to complete this all-important project. Can you say “tax hike?”

A couple more years of media cheerleading this money pit and we’re ready for the inaugural game. Yea!

Billions of dollars over budget, and years behind schedule, we are now ready to field our professional sports team.

The airwaves are now plastered with stories about politicians pleading for support to buy tickets for this all important event.

Suddenly, the price of a ticket has risen to nose-bleed levels to pay for the added expenses. A gray-water hot dog is selling for ten bucks, and a flat beer is going for the premium price of $12! Parking is available for the bargain price of $28 per car. What would be the deterrent for not returning a second time?

You see, I can’t afford constant tax hikes AND outrageous ticket prices, plus $8 bottles of water.

Unfortunately, I am unable to watch the game at home on my television because the game is not a sell-out due to the team being simply awful. AWFUL. As such, I coughed up more money than a cat with a hairball for a system that I cannot afford to use!

Stop trying to make money off the average guy’s back, and start looking for a real job outside of politics. You suck at it.
