According to most websites associated with business strategies, setting realistic expectations, delivering on your promises, and consistently going above and beyond, can create memorable experiences that leave a lasting impression on your customers.
These references further state that by implementing this strategy in your business, you should be able to watch as your reputation and customer satisfaction soar.
If this sounds like a good idea to you, and you’re not a business person, here’s an easy question: To what aspects of your life would the first two paragraphs make an improvement? Along this same vein, to which personal scenario would these same two paragraphs not help?
Take all the time you need. I’ll stop typing and wait for you.
Of course, these are both individualized ponderings unique to each of you. But realistically, it would be nice to see those strategies applied to practically every segment of life thereby creating what might seem like a personal Eden.
Let’s say you have a dog or a cat, or both. Before you picked out your animal companion you likely imagined nurturing walks in the park, a snuggled bed, toys, healthy pet foods, leashes, grooming tools, along with potential traveling challenges. Some of these decisions are simpler than others, yet all are important.
Suddenly,
you realize your new pet comes with far more in the way of trouble
than you ever imagined. Your dog barks incessantly, your cat enjoys
scratching the upholstered furniture, plus veterinarian visits are
terribly expensive. And then there are fleas.
A nasty flea and DSA supporter
All this baggage should give potential “fur baby” parent(s) pause. Behavior modification tools are readily available to deal with these and other hiccups. Yet they usually deal with each situation, simply adapting and moving on, as they should.
Usually taking the blame are the pets. But is that really where the finger pointing belongs? Pets aren’t normally well-behaved Mensa members. Just as with humans, pets come with a variety of problems that should have been identified – before adoption – not afterward.
This is where we begin today’s ponderous adventure in “How in Hell Did We Wind Up Here?”
Upon examination, we, as an amenable people, are usually willing to place our trust in so many things and people as well as pets.
We get scammed because we are vulnerable to sad tales, teary puppy eyes, sobbing, plus what ifs. What ifs are those speculative posits that allow each individual person to conjure up in their own outcome of good or bad.
Recall when the mega lottery games occasionally reach atmospheric heights. We bought a ticket in hopes of winning an unimaginable amount of stupid money; that’s when the what ifs began on a positive note. A new house, expensive automobiles, fabulous trips, and perhaps a yacht belong in the what if conversations.
On the flip side, a medical matter is terrifying because they are not known to be inexpensive. In the event of such, people are goaded into buying awfully pricey health insurance to defray the astronomical medication prices and avoid a potential – what if – bankruptcy.
But for all the intelligent people living in America, we always seem to gravitate to what seems as though are ‘good deals.’
Trusting individuals of all ages are regularly taken in by scams, confidence games, bait and switch cons, even by those politicians who wear expensive suits accompanied by toothy smiles.
Usually beginning almost two-years out, many of these pols send out feelers to test the waters of potential topics. Using multiple polling services, wanna-be civil servants hire seemingly countless staff members who glom onto the aspirations of these silver-tongued devils, hoping to acquire a meaningful position if their candidate is elected.
Witness the current New York City (NYC) poop hurricane. A foreign transplant from Uganda, the insufferable Zohran Mamdani arose from literally nowhere to become the mayor of NYC with the aforementioned suit and grin. This go-funny-eyed serial liar weaseled his way into Gracie Mansion riding a papier-mȃché sedan chair, toted by adoring sycophants.
Promising inexpensive grocery stores, free bus rides, low cost housing, taxing the wealthy, and private business takeovers, Mayor Mamdani rode the wave of electoral enthusiasm without barely getting damp. Once behind the Mayor’s desk, his brilliant plans and promises were finally revealed as smoke and mirrors of a colossal con job.
But the damage was already done. His antagonism toward America and Americans enveloped the Big Apple like a stinky fart, carrying over into his seething hatred toward Jews, Republicans, Jews, blacks, Jews, and Jews. What could possibly go wrong?
Since you asked, plenty.
This exhibition of unemployed, youthful ignorant voters getting what they asked for inspired seemingly countless, additional clueless voters to stand in line to meet and greet the new harvest of Democratic Socialist of America (DSA) weeds.
I refer to them as weeds because although they appear green, they suck vital nutrients and water from the ground that a grassy green lawn needs to survive. Soon, they have drained everything wholesome leaving behind mud, thorns, and prickles.
Still relatively new to the electoral-political system in America, DSAers bring with them a haughtiness that is abrasive to hard workers who built this nation into a welcoming home for law-abiding people who wished to join our freedom-loving social experiment.
Now growing roots herein, DSAers are anxious to change all this freedom and opportunity into a proven communistic system that favors mayhem, envy, and sloth over hard work and honesty.
With lies, lies, and more lies, these DSAers have been shoveling hypnotic-like ideas and subsequent platitudes throughout podcasts, internet exposés, as well as news bites, all to the delight of weak minded supporters who hear the half-baked messages they want to hear.
Senate, Congressional, gubernatorial, and mayoral candidates have been finding themselves out maneuvering their Democratic Party buddies, although the Democrats insist DSA-types are welcome into their Big Tent. You betcha.
An excellent example of ‘Beware of what you wish for,’ can easily be located in a place called Hamtramck, Michigan. Once a Polish-American community, Hamtramck attracted new immigrants from Yemen, Bangladesh, and Pakistan, with open arms.
To demonstrate their wokeness, the LGBTQ (I’ll forego the other 17-identifying letters,) community welcomed and encouraged these newcomers to their town of about 28,000 residents. Today, it is the only Muslim-majority city in the United States.
Run by a duly-elected Muslim mayor, and governed by an all-Muslim city council, Hamtramck has now decided the LGBTQ (I’m still foregoing the other 17-identifying letters,) community members could not fly their precious, all-important Pride Flags. What’s up with that?
It seems as though the Muslim powers-that-be have taken offense at the symbolism of that sexual proclivity flag and prohibited its open use on Hamtramck streets. That is called getting what you asked for. It also encompasses not doing your homework.
Not unlike a much wanted puppy peeing on your Berber carpet, or rescued kitty clawing a Queen Anne chair, you should not be surprised by any and all inconveniences that arrived with your welcoming gestures and anticipations.
The bottom line is that Hamtramck Muslims, Zohran Mamdani, along with the rest of the DSAers got where they are not just because of the sleazy tactics, lack of candor, or faҫades. They got to where they are because the voter unrealistically expected too much. And the voters received what they deserve.
Remember this story when you’re casting your ballot for representation.
Now they need to be prepared for the flea infestation.
